The Yamaha Tenere 700 is a versatile adventure motorcycle for riders who want to explore Morocco beyond a short city ride. Available from Marrakech, it combines predictable road handling with the ability to travel on authorised tracks, making it suitable for journeys through the High Atlas, the Dades Valley, the Draa Valley and the Atlantic coast.
Its 689 cc engine produces 73 hp and delivers smooth, usable power for mountain roads, overtaking and longer touring days. With a listed weight of 208 kg and a 16-litre fuel tank, the Tenere 700 offers a practical balance between stability, range and agility. It is a strong choice for experienced riders planning a multi-day motorcycle trip with changing road surfaces and elevations.
From Marrakech, you can ride towards the High Atlas and continue south through Ouarzazate, the Draa Valley and the approaches to Merzouga, or choose a more relaxed road itinerary towards Essaouira and the Atlantic coast. Route choice should always match the season, weather conditions and the rider’s experience. Riding in dunes is prohibited, while authorised tracks may be used when conditions and skill level are appropriate.
The rental price starts from €120 per day. A helmet, phone holder, USB charger, third-party liability insurance and 24/7 assistance are included. The standard allowance is 350 km per rental day, with additional kilometres charged at 2 MAD per kilometre. Pickup is available in Marrakech, and delivery or one-way arrangements to other Moroccan cities can be discussed according to availability.
